I have contacted Gibson and the best they can tell us is that this is a 70's vintage guitar and that the serial numbers are not indicative of the year of manufacture for these guitars. This guitar was made in the early to mid-70's in Japan and it bears the Blue "Made in Japan" Label, as well as the sticker on the back plate.
